Atezolizumab

An immunotherapy infusion (PD-L1 blocking antibody) used to treat several cancers.

Clinical information

Common uses

non-small cell and small cell lung cancer
liver cancer (with bevacizumab)
melanoma (with cobimetinib and vemurafenib)
bladder cancer and alveolar soft part sarcoma

Common side effects

tiredness or weakness
decreased appetite
feeling sick
cough
shortness of breath

Cautions

immune-related inflammation can hit any organ and may be severe
liver, kidney and thyroid tests needed during treatment
infusion reactions can occur
do not breastfeed during treatment and for 5 months after

Pregnancy: can harm an unborn baby — use effective contraception
