Clinical information

Common uses

preventing nausea and vomiting from cancer chemotherapy
preventing nausea and vomiting after surgery

Common side effects

tiredness
diarrhoea
indigestion
stomach pain
hiccups

Cautions

never take with pimozide — dangerous heart rhythm risk
not for treating sickness that has already started
not recommended for continuous long-term use
hormonal contraception may fail for 28 days after — use backup

Interactions

pimozide (do not combine)
warfarin (blood thinner — effect reduced, INR monitored)
hormonal contraceptives (less effective)
many medicines processed by CYP3A4
