Common uses

  • ALK-positive non-small cell lung cancer after surgery
  • ALK-positive metastatic non-small cell lung cancer

Common side effects

  • liver test abnormalities
  • constipation
  • tiredness
  • muscle aches
  • swelling (oedema)

Cautions

  • liver damage — regular blood tests
  • lung inflammation (pneumonitis) — treatment stopped if diagnosed
  • slow heartbeat — heart rate and blood pressure monitored
  • can harm an unborn baby
