Common uses

acne vulgaris, age 12 and older

Common side effects

skin redness
scaling
dryness
burning or stinging

Cautions

avoid sunlight and sunlamps; wear sunscreen
stop if allergic reaction such as face or eyelid swelling
other irritating skin products increase irritation

Interactions

medicated or abrasive soaps and drying cosmetics (more irritation)
