Clinical information

Common uses

rheumatoid arthritis
psoriasis and hidradenitis suppurativa
Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis
uveitis

Common side effects

itchy, red, painful injection site
headaches
stomach pain
feeling or being sick
skin rash

Cautions

raises risk of infections, including tuberculosis
may not suit people with heart failure
not with a serious infection like tuberculosis or hepatitis

Interactions

live vaccines (e.g. chickenpox vaccine)
some chemotherapy medicines

Pregnancy: can be used if needed — lowest effective dose
